Spiral Design Launches New Hyde Art Collection WebsiteAlbany, N.Y. – After months of creative collaboration by designers and museum staff, Spiral Design Studio proudly launched the new Hyde Art Collection website at www.hydecollection.org.
Sophisticated in design yet simple in navigation, the site was developed to reflect The Hyde’s historic ties, as well the progressive nature of its feature exhibitions and visiting collections. Highlighting many pieces from the Museum’s vast collection of nearly 2,800 paintings, sculptures, works on paper, furniture, and decorative arts, the site required a delicate balance of functionality and aesthetic appeal. Addressing the site’s extensive layout and frequent need for updates, Spiral Design utilized e.Venture Pro – its custom content-management solution (CMS) – to allow the Museum complete control over its site’s ever-changing content and images.
Founded in 1952 in accordance with the Trust Agreement of Mrs. Charlotte Hyde, The Hyde Collection was established “to maintain a Museum for the exhibition of the permanent collection and to promote and cultivate the improvement of the fine arts, for the education and benefit of the residents of Glens Falls and vicinity and the general public.” For more information about The Hyde Art Collection, visit the museum’s new website at www.hydecollection.org.
