2004 Cybertopia Award: Spiral Design StudioAlbany, N.Y. – For the past eight years, TechConnex
honors one Capital Region business with the prestigious Cybertopia
award for a notable “positive and encouraging work atmosphere.” Before
a crowd of over 500 professionals, Albany-based design firm Spiral
Design Studio received the Cybertopia award this year at the 2004
Technology Company of the Year Awards Luncheon held at the Desmond
Hotel.
Housed in an old piano factory warehouse in Albany’s economic
development zone, Spiral’s “holistic” office space nurtures its
employees through a balanced workplace of visual beauty and
cutting-edge technology. The entire workspace is harmoniously designed

education and personal wellness through company-financed seminars,
workshops and martial arts classes. Annual company-funded retreats
bring together staff and spouses for relaxation and fun. Finally, the
