The award, or the “Betsy” as it is affectionately called by nominees, carries with it prestige and honor, applauding one Capital District winner each year whose work is considered exceptional. The winning piece, a distinctive promotional piece used by AMC to attract potential medical students to Albany, was selected from a pool of 488 entries. |
| Spiral Design Studio's award-winning Viewbook continues to be an instrumental marketing piece used by Albany Medical College not only to recruit students, but also to attract philanthropic support from its community and alumni. Administrators rely on the “briefcase piece” when communicating the growth and progress of the college to former students and community leaders, resulting in impressive donations to the college's programs. Additionally, the piece was honored with an ADDY® at the American Advertising Federation Region 2 ADDY Awards, and subsequently earned a nomination for AAF's annual national competition.
